Place One is governed by a series of policies, some more critical than others:
The Virginia Condominium Act is the most critical. Enacted by the Virginia General Assembly, all condominium communities in Virginia must follow its provisions.
The Place One Master Deed comes next. Its provisions must be compatible with the Virginia Condominium Act. The Master Deed can only be changed by two-thirds of the Owners. Its provisions cannot be waived by the Board of Directors or the Staff.
Finally are Place OnePolicy Statements. Policy Statements are adopted by the Board of Directors and are intended to assist in providing operational guidance. Policy Statements cannot conflict with the Virginia Condominium Act or the Master Deed.
